The path to healing is different for everybody.
Safety, trust and compassion are the cornerstones of my approach.

GENERAL THERAPY - Individual, Family, Couple

Are you looking for support for anxiety or mood struggles? Do you want to challenge perfectionism, learn how to regulate your emotions, or learn more about the benefits of integrating mindfulness into your daily life? Maybe you need to sort through conflict in your life, or want support around parenting, life as a new parent and other transitions.

Whether it’s stress, struggles with self-esteem and body image, or unhelpful communication patterns, we’ll discuss the support you are looking for and create a plan that meets your needs.

We must be willing to let go of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

PARENT COACHING FOR EATING DISORDERS

Does your child have an eating disorder? Do you feel like your family is being held hostage and you don’t know what to do? I can help!

We will develop a good understanding of how the illness is showing up in your child and create a plan to address it. I will provide guidance around parental management of the illness and give you accurate eating disorder information.

EATING DISORDER THERAPY

Does your eating disorder tell you that nobody else understands you like it does? Does your eating disorder thrive on secrecy and isolation? You are not alone.

In our time together, we will work to normalize eating patterns, develop strategies to challenge and replace unhealthy behaviours and thought patterns, aim to reduce shame and guilt, develop new problem solving and coping skills, and improve your relationships. You are worth it.

You are not alone.
You are worth it.

Research has shown that the quality of the relationship between the therapist and client is the strongest predictor of whether or not therapy is successful.

QUALITIES OF A GOOD THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP INCLUDE:

  • Mutual engagement in “the work” of the treatment
  • The ability to talk about the “here-and-now”
  • The freedom to share emotional responses
  • The ability to address any difficulties that may arise in the relationship
  • Mutual trust, respect, and caring
  • General agreement on the goals and tasks
  • Shared decision-making

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR FIRST SESSION

During our first session together, I will ask a lot of questions to get to know you better. Together, we will develop a plan that feels right for you which will evolve over time as your needs change. You are the expert in your own life, and I am here to help you gain more insight and perspective. This might include figuring out what’s working and what’s not, or just giving you the space you need to process what’s happening in your life.

When in doubt, choose change.
