A Bit About Me
I was born and raised in Southwestern Ontario (Treaty 29) and love to be around the water. I earned a Bachelor of Arts with a joint major in Psychology and Sociology from Trent University in 2006. I then obtained a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Windsor in 2008. Since 2008, I have spent time supporting children, adolescents, adults, and their families in overcoming barriers to living happy, healthy lives.
In 2011, I completed a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in Honolulu. During this time, I was working with university students struggling with negative consequences of alcohol and/or substance misuse.
Since 2013, I have been specializing in eating disorder treatment as a therapist, consultant, presenter and workshop facilitator and I have years of experience supporting individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, body image, family conflict, time management and challenging life transitions.
I am a mom of three and understand the ongoing struggles that accompany motherhood! I know the juggling act that we as mothers take on and I know how overwhelming that can be. I recognize the toll it can take on our overall well-being.
In the words of Morgan Harper Nichols, you are worthy of the same love you give. Regardless of where your struggles lie, taking the time to prioritize yourself is one of the best gifts you can give yourself and those important to you.
